  • Failure to take delivery of vehicle that is not the fault of Speedway Motorcycles will result in a £200.00 out of pocket cancellation charge plus any deposit taken. All part exchange Prices are Subject to HPI Clearance with no further damage than what was seen on original valuation.

 

  • If you wish to cancel a transaction, in certain circumstances, it may be transferred to a new vehicle. Prices can be incorrect from online advertising or price boards with wrong purchase prices put on your order form. If this occurs, a new order form must be created for the deal.

 

  • Warranty information is explained on your terms and conditions supplied via email document or paper copy if required. Once the vehicle is registered in your name or any work such as PDI, Maintenance or Accessories’ have been fitted the sale can be enforced or out pocket expenses recovered by us.

 

  • Vehicles may have cosmetic marks or blemishes due to Manufacturing or PDI work being carried out prior to delivery. Distance selling regulations require the buyer to cover the return cost of the vehicle in unused condition within 7 working days. Any further damage or costs not recoverable ie: tax, registration, vat will not be refunded. This does not affect you statutory rights.

 

  • Unless otherwise stated by letter from yourself, You the customer have taken out interdependent breakdown cover and acknowledge you have alternate means of transport in the event your purchased vehicle is out of service or requires work to be carried out under warranty. Speedway motorcycles ltd accept no liability for Alternate transport costs unless vehicle is of the road for more than 28 days of warranty claim processed.

Terms and conditions for all new vehicles.

  • We would like to thank you for purchasing your new motorcycle or scooter from us. Here at Speedway Motorcycles we take great care to ensure complete customer satisfaction before and after you purchase your new vehicle, by offering every customer 12 months Warranty Assistance as standard. If for any reason your new vehicle is to encounter a fault making it un-drivable and will not start, the vehicle will be collected from your place of residence, repaired (If a Warranty based failure) and returned at no cost to yourself subject to terms and conditions. What to do if a fault occurs If a fault is to occur please contact our Service Department initially to discuss common causes, once cleared by Speedway Motorcycles Staff there will organise a collection date and time which can be up to 7 working days.   • I1. The length of the Warranty is 12 months from the point of purchase and is for parts and labour cover on major mechanical and Electrical Components except for 60 month dealer extended cover which is described in
  • I2. I2. Speedway Protect 60 Month Dealer Extended warranty, gives Five years parts and labour cover on Warranty work carried out by Speedway Motorcycles only. Dealer extended five year warranty requires All major services to be carried out by Speedway Motorcycles. This includes the first 12 Month service. If the schedule is not followed or services are not carried out by Speedway Motorcycles warranty will be invalidated. Standard services can be carried out with any local VAT registered motorcycle business and initial 12 months warranty will be valid.
  • I3. Warranty cover is for limited defective parts only. It does not cover Accident Damage or wear and tear items such as: tyres, Inner tubes, Seals, Bearings, swing arm bushes, Cables, Belts, friction parts, fairings, frames, screws, bolts, exhaust’s, bulb’s, battery’s, brake pads, service items. etc
  • I4. The Warranty cover is supplied by Speedway Motorcycles to the original purchaser. The Speedway protect warranty cover is transferable, But the new owner must have a safety check carried out by Speedway Motorcycles LTD which incurs £100 fee paid to activate the warranty transfer. If any issues are present at time of safety check this must be remedied and paid for before warranty transfer is processed. If the safety check is not carried out Speedway Protect extended warranty ceases when the product has been sold on to a new owner.The warranty assist collection service CAN NOT be passed on to a second owner.
  • I5. In the event of a fault occurring on vehicle, the supplying dealer must be contacted immediately to report a fault; all use of the vehicle must cease and it must be transported to the supplying dealer not driven if dangerous or illegal, Speedway Motorcycles is not responsible for any further faults caused by the user driving the vehicle with a fault present.
  • I6. The Warranty does not cover shipping costs associated with repair. (with exception of warranty assist) Should the product need to be returned under a warranty claim, the customer is responsible for shipping the product back to us as well as returned at the customers own cost.
  • I7. Under a parts and labour cover all work must be undertaken by Speedway Motorcycles. A £30 diagnostics fee will be charged before any work is undertaken. After the first 12 months warranty has passed. Labour cover up to a maximum of four hours will not be charged if covered under the warranty cover.
  • I8. PParts can be dispatched direct to a Registered Motorcycle dealership in the event of any Warranty claim. Providing the manufactures service schedule is up to date a diagnostic report completed by a VAT registered motorcycle dealership is produced outlying the (fault/faults) before any claim is submitted and processed.
  • I9. All replacement Warranty parts are covered under the original warranty period that the vehicle was purchased. All new parts are covered under the original warranty period and do not start again.
  • I10. If required by the customer, all Fitting of part/s will be charged at our hourly rate and all ordered direct from manufacturer. All parts requested as part of a Warranty claim must be fitted by a VAT registered motorcycle business not the owner or relatives of the vehicle. Parts can be shipped out at extra cost or collected from our premises for free.
  • I11. Labour cover is strictly provided by Speedway Motorcycles and all repairs must be carried out by us. You are covered for major mechanical and electrical parts and labour only!
  • I12. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the product is fully serviced. The Warranty is subject to the vehicle being fully serviced as specified by the owner’s manual as supplied with each scooter. All servicing must be completed by a VAT registered business in accordance to the service sheet provided. Except for 60 dealer servicing terms.
  • I13. Services cannot be undertaken by oneself or any related business involved with the Owner or family members. Service’s must be carried out by an independent VAT registered motorcycle business or Speedway Motorcycles as per manufacture service schedule.
  • I14. General Maintenance must be carried out on a daily basis to insure rider’s safety, as bike maintenance is not the responsibility of the supplying dealer. When not in our care All fairing’s, light’s, brakes, suspension, engine oil, tyre’s, chain adjustment, greasing, cleaning and all operating parts of the vehicle must be checked before every journey.
  • I15. Vehicle is subject to a running in period and a first service at 300km. For the first ride no more than 30 minutes with a 1 hour rest. 50cc vehicles no more than 25mph or 50% throttle. 125cc vehicles no more than 40mph or 50% throttle. Vehicles with rev gauge are not to exceed 6000RPM for excessive periods. Air cooled machines not to exceed 20min ride time below 15mph.
  • I16. Vehicles left on our premises for servicing have a 48hour period to collect. Failure to do so will result in £10-00 per day storage charge. This charge is null and void if vehicle is in for a repair under a warranty claim.
  • I17.   • I18. All services on your vehicle are chargeable they are not FREE. Please ask your dealer for exact costs on your vehicle alternatively please visit our website www.speedwaymotorcycles.co.uk for updated price list. Prices are not fixed and change from year to year due to inflation, wages or import costs. please do not assume service costs will be the same today as they will be in 12 months time. Services must be adhered to within 10% margin or warranty and warranty assistance is void no exceptions. Warranty assistance is not Breakdown recovery, If not taken out already we advise taking out breakdown recovery in the event your vehicle The policy will be made void if the following occurs Exceeding of service schedule time or mileage by more than 10% missing out service intervals completely, service’s not carried out by a VAT registered motorcycle business. Dealer extended warranty see I2 Accident damage to vehicle resulting in driving performance or component failure causing further faults with persistent driving. Damaged caused by abuse or neglect, lack of general maintenance failure to do basic daily checks. Modifications to any part of the vehicle resulting in engine performance or electrical change. Use of wrong fuel or service parts resulting in future problems with service or maintenance procedures Damaged caused by overloading vehicle past its maximum capacity.
